The 1st round announcement
Jointly organized by the Specialty Committee of Immunology of Traditional Chinese Medicine (hereinafter referred as "SCITCM") of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (hereinafter referred as "WFCMS") and Cross-Strait-Hong Kong-Macau Collaboration Center of Science and Technology in Chinese Medicine, jointly hosted by the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine (Macau University of Science and Technology), and co-hosted by the Editorial Office of Pharmacological Research and the Macau International Collaboration Alliance for Rheumatology Research, the 6th annual meeting of the SCITCM of WFCMS cum the Cross-Strait-Hong Kong-Macau Forum on Advanced Research in Treating Rheumatism with Chinese Medicine is scheduled on 15-18 Nov 2019 and will be held at the Tianjin Saixiang Hotel, Tianjin, P.R. China. The organizing committee has invited a number of experts in immunology, rheumatology, Chinese medicine, and related fields from the Mainland China, European countries, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, and other countries and regions to participate in this event to exchange the most updated progress in the basic and clinical research of immunology and rheumatology in Chinese medicine.
In this meeting, a poster exhibition section and excellent abstract competition will be arranged. The excellent abstract award will be issued by the Editorial Office of Pharmacological Research and the awardees will be invited to publish a review article in the Pharmacological Research free of charge. The Editorial Office will also announce the winner of the best research article in the pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine published in the journal in 2018/19, who is also eligible for publishing a review article in the journal free of charge. The detailed information about the excellent abstract and best research article can be found at the main page of the journal for “Pharmacological research awards in traditional Chinese medicine” at https://www.journals.elsevier.com/pharmacological-research. The SCI impact factor of the journal in 2017 is 4.897 with a ranking of 21 in 261 journals in the category of Pharmacology&Pharmacy. There is a section for bioactive molecules derived from medicinal plants or natural products in the journal and you are welcome to submit article to this journal.

3. Registration fee
The registration fee of each participant is RMB 1000.00 to be paid on site. The organizing committee will bear the cost for conference room and facilities, meals and banquet dinner during the meeting.
4. Transportation and accommodation
All expenses including international air ticket, local transportation, accommodations, medical insurances and all other related expenses during the meeting stay in Tianjin will be arranged and borne by the participants themselves. The organizing committee has arranged a special rate at approximately RMB 500/room (Single / Double, 1 or 2 breakfasts) for those who would like to stay in the Tianjin Saixiang Hotel during the meeting, to which it is very convenient to reach by taking subway and taxi from airport and high speed railway stations. You may also select other hotels nearby.
5. Registration procedure
For all participants, please fill in the reply slip (Annex 1) and email to the secretory office (scitcm@must.edu.mo) by 16 Sept. 2019. Participants are welcomed to join and register without abstract submission, especially for post-graduate students. On site application for membership and meeting registration are also welcomed.
If the participant indicates that a formal invitation letter is need for visa application to enter P.R. China, an official invitation letter issued by the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for this meeting will be sending to the participant.
6. Abstract submission
(1) Abstract category:Original research article, review or perspective article about the basic and clinical researches of Chinese medicine in the following fields can be submitted: rheumatoid and immunology, tumor immunology, immunomodulation and novel drug discovery, and other related topics.
(2) Abstract requirements:
(i) Language and word limit:We accept English abstract, but not full article. The abstract should be within 300-500 words.
(ii) Abstract content:Please include the following components: title, authors, affiliations, the email and contact addresses, and phone number of the first and corresponding authors, research background, aims and objectives, methods and results (with key data, table and figure can be used), conclusion and 3-5 keywords. The abstract should be written precisely in English with key points.
(iii) Format:Microsoft Word, file name created as “SCITCM Abstract-XXX (corresponding author name)”, A4 size, 2.5 cm boundary, English font “Times New Roman”, font size 11 point, bold the title with 1.5 spacing.
(3) Abstract submission:Please submit the abstract by email to the secretory at scitcm@must.edu.mo with the subject entitled “SCITCM Abstract-XXX author name” on or before 16 Sept 2019.
(4) Poster requirements: Please indicated your preference in the Reply Slip if you wish to have your poster exhibited in the meeting and participate in the excellent abstract competition. The poster (120 cm×80cm) can be exhibited in the meeting venue from the afternoon of 15 Nov. 2019 to the end of the meeting on 16 Nov. 2019.
